Wallula Hiking Adventure

Enjoy an active morning touring the Walla Walla Valley, hiking to some of our finest panoramic views and learning about some of the area’s fascinating history along the way.

Our tour includes a 30-mile drive through the picturesque Walla Walla River valley, a short hike at Whitman Mission National Historic Site, and a hike up the bluffs near the mouth of the Walla Walla River to an expansive view overlooking the Columbia River at Wallula Gap.

Total distance for the 2 hikes is approximately 3 miles, with a total elevation gain of about 500 feet. The hiking difficulty is mostly moderate with a couple of steep and rocky sections. Hiking boots or sturdy shoes with good traction are recommended.
